Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy

CEDS

As part of our Mobilize Midcoast Maine initiative, the Midcoast Economic Development District is soliciting economic development project proposals.  Proposals from concept to implementation phase are encouraged. Proposals will be prioritized by the Project Review Committee. High priority projects from MCEDD member communities will be included in the MCEDD Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) that is written annually and submitted to the US Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration and advanced by MCEDD to funders as opportunities are identified.

In the past, this program has helped with the development of the Brunswick Landing and for establishing an industrial zone in West Bath.

Right now, the City of Rockland is using this program for improving their working waterfront. The Darling Center is also using this program to enhance their aquaculture activity in the Midcoast.

We are always accepting more applicants that aim to further enhance Midcoast Maine.
