Mobilize Midcoast Maine

Mobilize Maine is a new approach to economic development.  It is a private sector driven economic development project that seeks to leverage the assets of Midcoast Maine to create jobs. This project is statewide – the seven economic development districts will synthesize this grass roots process into a powerful statewide economic development strategy – the first time such a strategy has been developed.  Click on the above link to learn more.

Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy

The Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) serves as a guide for establishing regional goals and objectives, developing and implementing a regional plan of action, and identifying investment priorities and funding sources.  It also prioritizes job creation projects within the region. The federal government relies upon the CEDS when making grant awards for economic development activities.  MCEDD develops a yearly CEDS report for the region.
